About Santa Rosa Fairgrounds Golf Course
As one of only three golf courses certified “beginner friendly” in the North Bay, the Santa Rosa Fairgrounds Golf Course is a great place to practice your skills or help a golf novice grow theirs. In 2006, the course was redesigned and reopened, focusing on Junior Golf and the continued growth of the sport. The National Golf Course Owner’s Association took notice of this, and awarded beginner friendly certification to the Fairgrounds Golf Course. With 9 holes with 2 sets of tees, the course can play similarly to an 18 hole executive course.
Santa Rosa Fairground Golf Course offers a variety of ways to learn and get into the sport of golf. From weekly golf classes for adults to Junior Golf School to personal golf lessons, there are many opportunities to grow your golfing skills. There’s also a pro shop where you can pick up all of the essentials for beginners or even seasoned players.
Santa Rosa Fairground Golf Course also offers a multi-station driving range and a large putting and chipping green.

It is really hard to beat this place. Cheap, and really fun. The greens are some of the best I've played in the area. Better than Oakmont even. The track is a 9 hole course in the middle with mostly executive distances and 2 Par 4's. No shade from trees is the only negative I can think of.
Free Parking, great deals to be had here for sure.
Great walk on course for beginners. Its kind of weird playing golf in the middle of a race track but I enjoyed it.
I play here a couple of times a week. It's a short course that is well maintained. It is rarely crowded during the week. There is a practice putting green and a chipping practice area with a couple of sand traps to practice getting out of. The facility has a very nice covered driving range too. For a quick round you can't beat the price.
Great facility to play and practice. Course is short but challenging and the practice area is top notch!
