Great Golf Course; Narrow in spots...Lake & Creek carries ... With well maintained Grounds with spotless Greens...Enjoyable for my beginning Partner too...

The decision to eat at Charlies was based on its proximity to our timeshare where we were staying for a week. It was also recommended by the timeshare staff as well. The service was not very good and slow - several different waiters taking care of us. The food did not impress us enough to talk about it and for the price we paid - we should have something to say.

Traveling up 101 to my sisters home in Mendocino, stopped by WGC and decided to play a few holes. Why not, Patrick offered me a super deal and even let my sister ride along. The course is really nice and in great shape. A shapers dream but also affords enough grip it and rip it room. I would join this course if I lived in the area and play it regularly. Definitely a place to stop and play if you're passing by.

This review is for the golf course & for the club as a wedding venue site.

My husband & some buddies played 18 holes the day before our wedding. He said that it's a pretty course, and offers some challenges because there are a few streams that go across some of the fairways. He also noted that the 10th and 11th holes are at the end of the driving range. Since the fence nearby is really short, there were hundreds of balls on the course & finding yours can be rather difficult. The snack cart comes by somewhat regularly - he said that during their game, they were approached about 3 times.

Now for the wedding venue! My husband & I were looking for an outdoor venue for our small (under 25 guests) wedding ceremony & reception. We had a hard time finding a place that was the right size - most places were set up to host large weddings & we didn't want the extra open space to make our small wedding look insignificant! Windsor GC is the PERFECT venue for small-medium sized, intimate groups.

We met with Tina, but coordinated with Liz. Both were energetic, creative, flexible, and responsive throughout the entire process. Liz was always available via telephone or e-mail. She will even text you!

Their outdoor wedding area is GORGEOUS and separated from the golf course - you wont find golfers in the background of any of your photos! 😉 The site is surrounded by a wooden lattice fence & flowers decorate the perimeter. The main area is grassy, flat, and some parts are covered by the shade of large trees. They also have a trellis with a concrete walkway that offers shade towards the back, which is great for gift/food/cake tables. They also have a wooden stage (for the ceremony!) with a concrete walkway for the bride. We had our ceremony & reception both outdoors for a more casual feel, but they also have a big, indoor banquet room.

Windsor GC offered us an elopement package for our small party but still catered to us as if we were hosting a big wedding - some venues wouldn't even give us the time of day when they found out about our small guest count! Their all-inclusive package came with pre-selected vendors (most were easy to work with & did their job pretty well!), and the package price was super reasonable. We ended up being UNDER our already small budget! 😀

Our wedding day went smoothly even though we didn't have a rehearsal. Liz was great at giving directions, organizing, while also being flexible to our needs and wants. We only had a few issues. We ordered a king's table for our reception & requested umbrellas to cover everyone. The day of the wedding, we only received 3 working umbrellas (they delivered 4 but 1 was missing a piece), so we had a small number of people who ended up baking in the sun 🙁 In addition, we had some wine bottles & other edible gift sets that were sitting in the sun on our gift table. Due to the hot weather, they exploded & were not salvageable. We lost about $100 worth of products due to the heat exposure. I wish someone would have noticed & moved them. By the time I noticed, it was too late.

All in all, still a FANTASTIC venue with great coordinators. I would still highly recommend them!!

I recently brought a group of 16 golfers to Windsor for my bachelor party. From making the tee time to checking everyone in, the staff here was incredibly accommodating. Bob and Jim gave us great service and were friendly every step of the way.

As you could imagine with this large of a group here for a celebration, it took us a while to navigate our way through 18. The rangers were firm with reminders that we weren't keeping pace, but were never rude in any way. My apologies if any fellow Yelper reading this was golfing behind us.

The course was in great shape and the greens were very well maintained. I would highly recommend this course. Thank you to Windsor Golf Club and its employees for taking great care of us!

Great course and nice staff, but for what ever reason each round takes 5-6 hours!!

Most the people that play here are ding dongs with no clue about golf etiquette and pace of play. Ive walked off the course more times than I have finished...

Where is the marshall?

Tee off early or be ready for the slowest round ever!!!!!!!
